Ivoclar Vivadent Announces 2013 Course Curriculum Schedule for Dental Office Teams

Amherst, NY (January 1, 2013)…Ivoclar Vivadent is pleased to announce its 2013 Course Curriculum schedule for dentists, assistants, and hygienists. These courses complement Ivoclar Vivadent's extensive curriculum of technology, masters, In-Lab, and removable program sessions. Taking place at education and training centers in New York and Florida, these seminars provide the entire dental team with comprehensive reviews of the benefits of soft tissue laser technology, as well as in-office techniques for creating esthetic restorations using staining, glazing, and cut-back techniques. Introduction to Odyssey Lasers for Dentists and Assistants
is a one day course addressing laser tissue interaction, types of lasers and how they differ, how to enhance patient care with quick techniques involving minimal or no bleeding, pain, sutures or postoperative complications, and other topics. Sessions will feature such well-respected instructors as Dr. Mitchell Lomke and Dr. Sebastiano Andreana. Basic tuition is free for one dentist with the purchase of the Odyssey laser; $249.00 for assistants and $469.00 for each additional doctor.

Introduction to Odyssey Lasers for Hygienists is specifically designed for hygiene teams and dentists and focuses on establishing a greater comfort level when using a soft tissue diode laser, as well as treatment planning and determining proper power settings for periodontal applications. Session instructors include Dr. Mitchell Lomke, Janet Press, RDH, and Connie Lorich, RDH. Basic tuition is $249.00 per attendee.

Introduction to Stain & Glaze Techniques for Dental Offices
, taught by the International Center for Dental Education faculty, provides theoretical and hands-on training in chairside ceramic techniques for dentists, assistants and/or hygienists working in CAD/CAM offices. Key points to be addressed include: staining and glazing of IPS Empress® and IPS e.max® CAD restorations, polishing IPS Empress® CAD Multi crowns, do's and don'ts of surface preparation, and other essential topics. Basic tuition is $199.00 per attendee.

The
Introduction to Cutback & Layering Techniques for Dental Offices discusses the various material combinations and techniques used for delivering strong, esthetic restorations. The hands on portion includes esthetic layering of anterior restorations. Participants will learn simple but effective techniques for developing intricate internal shade effects, natural enamel translucency and opalescence, as well as esthetically pleasing surface characteristics. Topics also include design considerations for the all-ceramic restorations, creating natural contours and surface texture, and stain and glaze techniques to customize the all-ceramic restoration. Basic tuition is $249.00 per attendee.
