JORDAN, UT, October 2012: Ultradent Products, Inc. announced the
promotion of Erwin Fischer to executive vice president. As executive
vice president, Erwin will work closely with Dr. Dan Fischer, president
and CEO of Ultradent, to continue to build upon the company’s vision to
improve oral health globally. Dr. Fischer stated: “Erwin has proven
himself loyal, caring, and hard working. He lives all our core values in
quality ways.”
“Ultradent started as a family business that has developed into an
extended family of over 1,100 employees,” said Dr. Fischer. “Contrary to
the common evolution of many businesses, particularly in the United
States, it is my intent that Ultradent continue as a private family
company for generations to come. I believe this translates into
significant benefits to our customers and our employees. Erwin’s new
role, combined with our goal to not sell the company or go public,
enables us to chart our own course for the future and contribute to the
current and future economic health of America as well as that of other
countries.”
Erwin has been with Ultradent from its inception—even prior to its
incorporation in 1978. For the last six years, he has served as the vice
president of information technology. Erwin’s notable achievements
include management of two major ERP implementations, certification as an
Oracle DBA Master, experience as an Oracle developer and business
analyst, five years with Vistage Key Executive Group, and various other
IT certifications. These accomplishments have coincided with Erwin’s
managerial role in the development of a talented team of IT experts, the
implementation of ITIL best practices in Ultradent’s IT department, and
certification via the Kellogg School of Management to help strengthen
Ultradent’s best practices. Erwin has also been a core team member of
Ultradent’s strategic leadership group.
“It’s been a great privilege for me to work with so many incredible
people in seeing that our corporate vision is realized,” said Erwin.
“Our commitment to dentistry and its ability to help humans everywhere
is very much ‘in our blood.’ I want to see Ultradent continue to grow
and succeed for many generations to come.”
