Leading Endodontic Group Practice Chooses KODAK Digital Radiography System
Posted: July 7, 2004
ATLANTA, June 30—Endodontic Associates of Michigan, one of the largest endodontic group practices in the world has selected the KODAK RVG 6000 Digital Radiography System to digitize radiography exams in its seven affiliate offices.

“The image quality of the RVG 6000 sensors is unmatched by any other available digital radiography technology,” said Gerald C. Dietz, Sr., DDS, MS, founder and managing partner, Endodontic Associates. “We’re a premiere group practice and need to provide our referring doctors and patients with the highest quality images. The RVG 6000 system helps us do that.”

The RVG 6000 sensor captures images at a measured resolution of over 20 line pairs per mm, the highest resolution of any available digital x-ray technology, as documented recently by an independent research study. The reputation of Kodak’s Dental Systems Group also figured into Endodontic Associates selection of the RVG 6000 system. “We know we can trust Kodak to back this installation with whatever support we require, both now and in the future,” said Dr. Dietz.

“With the RVG 6000 system, dental professionals have a compelling new option for digital radiography,” said Richard Hirschland, general manager, worldwide dental systems and vice president, Kodak’s Health Imaging Group. “We’re pleased that an industry leader like Endodontic Associates recognizes the system’s value. We now look forward to working with the group’s partners to help them leverage this technology and better serve both referring doctors and patients.”

Endodontic Associates’ offices are located in greater Southeastern Michigan. The group has 17 doctors who all specialize in endodontics.

RVG 6000 System: Exclusive Sensor, Chairside Capture
The KODAK RVG 6000 Digital Radiography System features exclusive sensor technology yielding highly diagnostic images with true or “measured” (as compared with theoretical) image resolutions of over 20 line-pair per millimeter. In addition, the new system allows the sensor to be activated and images oriented from chairside through a newly designed sensor remote control.

The RVG 6000 system uses high-speed USB 2.0 technology allowing images to be acquired and displayed in seconds. This streamlines the examination process and allows dental professionals to communicate results almost immediately. It comes bundled with the latest generation of imaging software that includes a newly-designed graphical user interface.
