The QuickRay sensor has embedded electronics located in the sensor case so there is no controller box. Connect the replaceable cable via its USB connector to the computer and you are ready to take X-rays. Available in size #1 (Children) and size #2 (Adult), QuickRay gives you high resolution images and the patients appreciate the rounded corners. The sensor comes with a two year manufacturers warranty but a fiveyear warranty plan is available.
QuickRay breaks the integration barrier and works with all existing DX-ray systems. Natively, QuickRay works with Apteryx, XVLite, XRayVision, CliniView, Prof Suni, XDR, CamSight, DentiMax, Patient Gallery, Dental Eye, Choice Imaging, CADI, XLDent and OneView (Benco).
Great news for the MAC lovers out there; QuickRay now also works with MacPractice DDS, RadioVision and Endotrak!
For those who have Dexis, Eaglesoft -Schick, Kodak Imaging and other proprietary software, you will pleased to know that QuickRay works via TWAIN. Note that while some of the functionality may be limited in Dexis, Schick, KDI and Eaglesoft, this is only a concern while performing full mount series of x-rays. Practices need to keep in mind that full mouth series will eventually become a thing of the past and that Digital Pan and 4 bitewings is becoming more of the new standard.
Practices that are held captive by the major supply houses and imaging vendors should know that it be best for them to change imaging software and migrate to independent software such as Apteryx, Choice Imaging or DentalEye.
