Dental Quality Alliance Seeking Proposals for Study

Posted: July 31, 2012
CHICAGO, July 31, 2012 - The Dental Quality Alliance (DQA) is seeking project proposals from researchers in order to validate performance measures on pediatric oral health. The projects will test the feasibility, reliability and validity of DQA measures.

Proposal submission materials are due by Sep. 1 at 5p.m. Central Standard Time (CST). Proposals will be reviewed by the DQA's Research and Development Advisory Committee, which will also provide project oversight. To help investigators in preparing proposals, the DQA will hold two webinars: Aug. 3rd and Aug. 10th from noon-1 p.m. CST.

The ADA established the Dental Quality Alliance in 2010 to develop performance measures for oral health care. A collaboration of major stakeholders in oral health care delivery, the mission of the DQA is to advance performance measurement as a means to improve oral health, patient care and safety through a consensus-building process.

Additional information regarding the webinars and application process are available at http://www.ada.org/5105.aspx#mission.
