BioLase Releases DioLase

BioLase Releases DioLase Plus with expanded features and guaranteed upgrade path
Posted: May 24, 2004
SAN CLEMENTE, Calif. – BioLase Technology, Inc. announced the immediate availability of the DioLase™ Plus diode laser for soft tissue procedures and laser perio. The DioLase Plus is a featured product of the American Dental Laser line from BioLase.

The new DioLase Plus is priced at $10,995, which makes it the most affordable, full-featured diode laser on the market. Some of the more notable features and benefits of the DioLase Plus include:

Seven watts of power
The DioLase Plus offers a full 7.0 watts of power transmitted from its light-weight handpiece. Other diodes comparable in price offer just 5.0 watts of power. The increased power capabilities of the DioLase ensure faster cutting speeds, quicker coagulation, and deeper penetration of the laser energy when in use.

Easy-to-program Pre-set Buttons
With speed and efficiency as its hallmark, the DioLase also includes four easy-to-program “pre-set” buttons. This allows the user (dentist or hygienist) to program their four favorite procedure settings into the unit and have one-touch access to them as needed. This speeds up procedure time and saves the clinician the hassle of having to reprogram the laser for every new procedure.

Fully adjustable pulse modes
With speed and efficiency as its hallmark, the DioLase also includes four easy-to-program “pre-set” buttons. This allows the user (dentist or hygienist) to program their four favorite procedure settings into the unit and have one-touch access.

More applications – including laser curettage and laser perio – means more ROI
The DioLase Plus has FDA clearances for over 25 soft tissue procedures including several recently granted clearances for soft tissue curettage; removal of diseased, infected, inflamed and necrosed soft tissue within the periodontal pocket; and removal of highly inflamed edematous tissue affected by bacteria penetration of the pocket lining and junctional epithelium. The DioLase Plus is also cleared for many other cosmetic and soft-tissue applications, which ensures the laser can be safely used for a variety of procedures.

Factory-direct sales, service and support
Because the DioLase Plus is manufactured, sold, and supported directly by BIOLASE, the end-user needs just one telephone number to connect to BIOLASE’s top-notch Customer Support. With over 40 highly trained Laser Specialists in the field and factory-director service and Customer Support, BIOLASE provides unequaled support to its owners.

The best clinical training
After acquiring the DioLase Plus, owners can master their skills in laser dentistry through courses from many affiliated educational organizations and institutions including the World Clinical Laser Institute, the largest dental laser organization in the world; PAClive; the Aesthetic Advantage; the Rosenthal Institute at NYU; the Ross Nash Institute in Charlotte, N.C.; and the Dr. Dick Barnes Group, plus others as they are added. A full list of seminars and courses is available at www.learnlasers.com.

Guaranteed upgrade options
When investing in the DioLase Plus, the owner has protected, guaranteed upgrade options should he/she elect to move to a laser system with more power, more features, or the ability to cut hard tissue and bone. The DioLase Plus may be upgraded to either the LaserSmile Soft Tissue syste, Whitening and SoftTouch™ laser systems, or to the best-selling Waterlase all-tissue dental laser.
