Coltène Expands COMPONEER Offering with New XL Veneers

Posted: June 20, 2012

CUYAHOGA FALLS, OHIO, June 20, 2012 -- Following Coltène’s introduction of COMPONEER, the first Direct Composite Veneering system in 2011, clinicians expressed interest in a larger size COMPONEER for the North American market. Large anterior tooth sizes are more prevalent in North America than in Europe, where the COMPONEER system is produced, with an estimate of 10-15% of dental patients requiring a larger size.

COMPONEER  has received significant interest and acceptance in the US and European markets, and dentists are quick to recognize the practical time savings and practice building opportunities of direct placement composite veneers when compared to indirect porcelain veneers. More patients have chosen a COMPONEER Smile-to-Go because of the natural looking appeal and significant cost savings of up to 50% compared to porcelain.

New COMPONEER XL sizes are now available in the US, adding a fourth maxillary size to the previously introduced small, medium and large sizes. They are supplied in refill packs of two veneers in tooth sizes including 6, 7, 8, 9, 10 and 11 – or in a complete set of all 6 maxillary sizes. A new COMPONEER Contour Guide is also available to make tooth size selection easy.

Despite the larger size, COMPONEER XL Direct Composite Veneers are priced the same as existing refills and sets, and are just as adjustable, providing dentists with customizable options to better meet patient needs than porcelain veneers.
