Earlier this year Nobel Biocare approached Town & Country to beta test the new Procera Forte bridge scanning system and 3D CADDesign software, prior to introducing it to the market. Using the dental impression, Town & Country creates a working model and die which the new Procera Forte system scans, including the edentulous area. A three-dimensional image is created, processed and verified, then sent electronically to the Nobel Biocare milling center. In about 4 days, a zirconia framework is returned to Town & Country for porcelain build up and finishing. The end result is a Procera bridge that combines excellent zirconia strength with beautiful metal-free esthetics. Procera Zirconia is translucent, giving the tooth a natural appearance, yet it conceals underlying surfaces such as amalgam and discolored tooth structure. Densely sintered zirconium oxide is 100% biocompatible, ensuring excellent long-term function in the oral environment. Plus, Procera Zirconia is easy to prep and work with, cementing like an ordinary PFM restoration without bonding, saving chair time.
