Registration is now Open for the American Academy of Periodontology’s 97th Annual Meeting in Miami Beach, Florida

CHICAGO – July 12, 2011 – The American Academy of Periodontology (AAP) will host its 97th Annual Meeting in Miami Beach, Florida from November 12-15, 2011. Attendee registration is now open, and all members of the dental team are encouraged to register to learn about the latest advancements in periodontology.

The four-day meeting will include a variety of educational and scientific sessions in eight distinct program tracks, covering topics including dental implants, periodontal-systemic relationships, periodontal plastic and oral reconstructive surgery, and regeneration and tissue engineering. Traditional continuing education (CE) courses, as well as hands-on workshops and clinical technique showcases will be offered. In total, over 60 educational and scientific sessions will be presented.

Events of interest this year include:

• The Innovations in Periodontics sessions where the latest concepts and techniques in periodontics will be showcased.
• The popular Insurance Workshops, which will instruct attendees how to submit appropriate procedure codes to dental benefit carriers, communicate with benefit carriers in adjudicating claims, and file claims with medical plans.
• The exhibit hall, which will feature more than 150 dental products and services, and will offer complimentary attendee lunches.
• The Welcome Reception, which will feature a performance by 1970s favorite KC & The Sunshine Band.
