WedgeGuard by Triodent

Triodent is excited to introduce WedgeGuard.

It takes concentration to cut an interproximal cavity, and that can slow us down. But with WedgeGuard there’s no need to slow down, even when breaking the contact.

This is because the WedgeGuard removes all risk of damaging the adjacent tooth and the papilla. So you can do your preps better and faster at the same time.

After cavity prep, the guard is detached while the wedge stays in place, ready for the insertion of a matrix beside it. Leaving the wedge in place prevents reactive hyperemia, ensuring a cleaner, blood-free working area.

Dentists preparing interproximal cavities will nick the adjacent tooth or restoration more often than not.¹ ² Some studies have reported damage in more than 90% of cases. Those nicks could eventually become iatrogenic caries and we want to avoid unnecessary damage that takes time to repair.

Why use WedgeGuard?
• Protects adjacent tooth and papilla
• No need to slow down when breaking contact
• Prevents gingival tags in proximal box
• Wedge stays behind after shield is detached, so no reactive hyperemia, no cost of second wedge
• Saves time, less stress
• Wedge retains all qualities of award-winning Wave-Wedge
• Ideal for Class II and III cavities, veneers and crowns, and tunnel preps

WedgeGuards come in three sizes: small (white), medium (pink) and large (purple).
