New generation MagnaVu Dental Procedure Scope (MagnaVu PS3)

Magnified Video Dentistry, Inc., the video dentistry imaging Products Company has just announced the release of its next generation product designed to allow dentists and staff to perform most dental procedures from a correct, heads-up, more relaxed posture position, similar to medical surgeons.

The newly released MagnaVu Dental Procedure Scope 3 produces precise, clear, highly magnified images, which can eliminate the need for magnified loupes or microscopes and reduces back, neck, and eye strain. By incorporating the new MagnaVu PS 3 scope and a more ergonomic posture position during procedures, the MagnaVu PS 3 can reduce aches and pains and may actually prolong your dental career by eliminating the need to constantly bend or twist over the patient. In fact, MSD’s (Musculoskeletal Disorders) are the number one reason for dentists retiring early. Imagine being able to perform lengthy procedures with your head up, looking straight ahead at highly magnified images on a high res 19” video display placed at eye level.

The MagnaVu PS 3 will enable you to produce more, reduce wasted time and motions, increase the quality of dentistry provided to your patients, and feel less strain and fatigue at the end of the day. It’s also great for working on older or special needs patients that may have limited movement. You can let the MagnaVu do all the twisting and bending for you.

The updated MagnaVu PS 3 Scope now has a longer down tube leading to the new triple axis swivel at the scope head. This additional yah movement provides more visibility and better viewing angles than in the past. As before, you can still take incredible Full Face and Cosmetic images eliminating the need for digital extra-oral cameras, and can produce the most amazing highly magnified intra-oral images and live video, eliminating the need for most magnified loupes, microscopes, and intra-oral cameras. The new MagnaVu PS 3’s motorized zoom takes you from a full arch image, all the way down into a root canal without having to refocus and optically displays an image over 24X larger than normal onto a 19” front sealed LCD display (meets OSHA standards).

The MagnaVu PS 3 (patent pending) comes with an easy to use touch pad that controls the variable intensity white LED light that produces true color, 5600 Kelvin, that can be turned down when placing curable materials or turned up to meet the lighting needs of any situation, such as Endo procedures. In fact, it can even take the place of existing operatory lights. The combination of the MagnaVu’s amazing optics and the shadow-free light produces an incredible 6 inches of depth-of-field that makes it possible to provide a higher level of dentistry for your patients.

The easy to position scope arm allows for a 46” vertical adjustment and has a 68” reach. The arm can also fold up flat into an area 38” wide. The versatile unit can be wall, cabinet, floor, ceiling, or track mounted. Images can be frozen in a full size or quad mode for patient education or can be downloaded and saved into any dental image software program for future reference or archiving. When using a DVD recorder, or other digital live video recording device, voice may even be recorded at the same time so exams or proposed treatment plans can be sent home with patients for review, or used for teaching and training programs. The system is self contained and does require a computer or other devices. The PS 3 comes complete with the PS 3 scope; various scope arms, LCD display, and LCD mount.

This unit is also a great teaching device for lecturers, schools, or residency programs, who want to demonstrate live or record dental techniques or procedures. The MagnaVu PS 3 is available through most major dental dealers.
