Masel announces the release of “Therm-A-Form Ultra,” a new generation martensitic archwire
Posted: March 11, 2004
“Ultra” offers improved thermal wire properties that are readily apparent both chairside and inside the mouth. At room temperature, doctors will experience a softer, more maleable wire in its cool state. It readily accepts bends, is easier to ligate, and speeds insertion into the bracket slots. During treatment, outstanding shape integrity and increased resilience provide greater resistance to permanent set as well as increased moving forces for extended periods of time. Patients can temporarily ease discomfort by eating or drinking anything cold.

Therm-A-Form Ultra heat-activated archwires are fully austenitic at 90°F (32°C) and are particulary beneficial for demanding clinical applications and extra-sensitive patients. They offer the advantage of bend acceptance and easier ligation over traditional Nickel Titanium archwires. The performance characteristics rival CuNiTi and Sentalloy/NeoSentalloy.

The company has these archwires available now. Contact them or visit their website for additional information.
