Flossing Record Set

Crosstex Donates Sanityze For Guinness World Record
Posted: April 7, 2004
Crosstex International helped Canadian Dental Hygienist, Veronica Hermiston, break the Guinness World Record for the most people simultaneously flossing with one continuous string of floss. Participants were required to brush their teeth, rinse with mouthwash, and sanitize their hands prior to flossing. Crosstex provided each of the 1146 Regina High School students with SaniTyze™, a waterless moisturizing antimicrobial gel. The students went on to floss for 45 seconds on October 20, 2003, breaking the record held by an Illinois group of 327. The event took place as part of Dental Hygienist’s Week in Canada as a way to encourage patients to floss regularly.

SaniTyze is a mild bactericidal, antimicrobial waterless gel formulated with ethyl alcohol that is applied to hands and rubbed in. It provides fast-acting results and kills 99.99% of bacteria in as little as 15 seconds. SaniTyze contains Aloe Vera and Vitamin E, which moisturize, condition, and soften the skin while also combating dryness. SaniTyze is ideal when water is not available or as a supplement to regular hand washing and is Latex compatible. Made in the USA, SaniTyze meets the new CDC guidelines for hand sanitizing.

Crosstex International provides the healthcare industry with innovative, high-quality infection control/single-use disposable products. For more information, or to request a sample, call 888-Crosstex.
