California Dental Association Foundation Awards Grants to 10 Dental Organizations

Sacramento, Calif. — The California Dental Association Foundation has announced that 10 nonprofit dental organizations will receive its Dental Materials and Supplies Grant.

Through a partnership with Henry Schein Cares, the CDA Foundation awards this grant to supply organizations with a broad selection of much-needed dental products and materials. Nearly 80 nonprofit organizations have received more than $2 million worth of supplies since the program began in 2003. The in-kind donation of products and materials helps these organizations enhance the quality of dental care for underserved individuals and families in local California communities.

This unique program blends Henry Schein’s commitment to giving back to the industry and community in which it serves, with the mission of the CDA Foundation to improve the oral health of all Californians by supporting the dental profession and its efforts to meet community needs.

The following nonprofit dental organizations will receive the benefits of this partnership this year:
• UC San Diego Student-Run Free Dental Clinic;
• Family HealthCare Network;
• Vista Community Clinic;
• Sacramento District Dental Foundation;
• St. Mary’s Interfaith Community Services;
• Salud Para La Gente;
• Venice Family Clinic;
• Inland Behavioral & Health Services Inc.;
• Ravenswood Family Health Center; and
• Western Sierra Medical Clinic.
