American Medical Review, a television program series exploring the latest advances in health and wellness, will feature J. Morita’s Root ZX Automatic Apex Locator in a segment focusing on high-tech innovations in dental care. The Root ZX allows computer measurement of root canals during endodontic treatment, thereby accelerating the procedure while reducing the need for X-rays. Invented in 1992, Root ZX was the first apex locator with the ability to work in wet canals and has an independently evaluated accuracy rate of 96.2%.
