BIDENT ROLLS BACK PRICES

Bident announces that prices would be rolled back to pre-2002 prices on Bident products
Posted: July 8, 2002
Bident International, distributor of the Bident Bipolar Tissue Management System, announced today that prices would be rolled back to pre-2002 prices on Bident products.

“This incredible technology should be in the hands of as many practitioners as possible,” said Matthew Garfield, president of Bident International. “We have reduced prices by more than 20% percent, thus making the unit even more attractive to users.”

“Our recent strategy of increasing availability of the Bident System through a distribution network was well meaning but flawed, in that it forced prices dramatically upward,” said Garfield. “Once we realized commission and marketing costs had resulted in an unacceptably high retail price, we and our vendors tightened our belts so that we could return the price to original levels.”

“ Our customers had spoken loud and clear that they embraced the clinical advantages of Bident’s bipolar dual wave technology, as well as its practice enhancing benefits, but only at a certain price point. We are very pleased to report that we were successful, both in lowering prices and maintaining a large sales network, as well as continuing to offer direct sales from Bident International.”

The Bident System was introduced 2 years ago as an alternative to lasers and monopolar electrosurgery. “We believe this technology is light years ahead of what has been available to dentists and oral surgeons in the past, “ said Garfield. “This bipolar surgical technology has been the standard-of-care in over 90 percent of neurosurgical, plastic, and microsurgical operating rooms for over 15 years, with a proven track record of exceptional safety. We have adapted the patented Dual Wave technology for dentistry, because of its unique ability to cut and coagulate in a wet or dry field at very low current with virtually no heat or current spread.”

The new price structure goes into effect immediately.
