GC Corporation (Tokyo, President/CEO Mr. Makoto Nakao) decided to build a branch office in Nagoya, Japan. The decision to build this branch stemmed from a series of actions to reinforce business activities in the central part of Japan. The Nagoya branch office will be built across the street from the School of Dentistry of the Aichi-gakuin University. At the groundbreaking ceremony held on October 6, 2003, Mr. Nakao, President/CEO of GC Corporation, announced the concept of this new branch office, emphasizing its function as a place for pursuing their company motto “Semui” and named it the “Dental Station” with the following five aims:
To function as a base that will dispatch information and provide services to local customers in the central part of Japan.
To improve services provided to the School of Dentistry of the Aichi-gakuin University, one of the leading Japanese dental training/research/clinical centers.
To function as the TTC (Technical Transfer Center) and pass down the tradition of the Higashimino area, the birthplace of the Japanese denture.
To provide an environment-friendly office.
To provide an ideal work environment. In his speech, Mr. Nakao also emphasized the humble efforts to further the improvement of dental practices in the local area. GC Corporation’s new branch will have three stories with the total floor space of 1,087 m2 and will be completed by the end of May 2004.
