Advanced claim submission software for DENTRIX users announced. A powerful new tool that does more than submit claims electronically

Dentrix Dental Systems, Inc., in partnership with National Information Services (NIS), announce the availability of the latest electronic claim submission software—eTrans 3.0.

This upgrade debuts a new interface, an updated validation report, implements the required X12 format mandated by the Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA), and additional new features and enhancements.

Redesigned for simpler navigation, eTrans 3.0 allows staff to perform tasks more rapidly. The Validation report provides at-a-glance information including the patient, payor, patient birth date, service date, subscriber, subscriber birth date, the number of services and the amount billed. From that same screen, staff have the ability to check the claims they want sent now, which ones they want to send later, as well as which claims have an attachment.

As in the previous version, eTrans 3.0 includes the ability to send electronic attachments all from within DENTRIX. “The key is the ability for staff to send eClaims and attachments from one location”, said Kay Barton, ”When you consider the amount of duplicate films, perio charts, and narratives an office makes, combined with the time it takes for insurance companies to request an attachment—using electronic attachments from within DENTRIX will save a practice thousands of dollars every year.”

eTrans 3.0 is available with the release of DENTRIX 10. Customers on previous versions of DENTRIX can call 1-800-DENTRIX for upgrade information. Questions regarding eClaims can be directed to an eClaims Specialist at 1-800-734-5561, Option 3. All DENTRIX users subscribed to a current maintenance agreement will automatically receive eTrans 3.0 with the DENTRIX 10 upgrade.
