Whip Mix Hosts Red Bird Mission Participants
Louisville, KY: March 2010 – On February 19, Whip Mix hosted Harry Brooks, CDT and three students from the Red Bird Mission, April Banks, Lori Day and Shandra Harris. After a greeting by President, Allen Steinbock, Bob Long, Lab Relations Manager, took Harry and the students on a tour of the Whip Mix Facility where they learned how dental products are manufactured and tested to meet ISO quality system standards, packaged and shipped to over 80 countries worldwide.
Located in Beverly, KY, the heart of Appalachia, Red Bird Mission is a non-profit agency that provides educational, health and community outreach ministries to low-income residents. With the support and contributions of a number of products and equipment from Whip Mix and other dental manufacturers, Harry Brooks, CDT has set up and maintained a dental laboratory; expanding the services provided by the Dental Clinic at Red Bird.
