NEW FACES AT ORAL HEALTH AMERICA
CHICAGO, IL, February 18, 2010--Oral Health America (OHA), a national non-profit organization, founded in 1955 and headquartered in Chicago, is pleased to welcome four new employees this month as we gear up for a busy 2010. They are:
Anthony (Tony) Stefanou, DMD, Associate Director, External Relations
Tony Stefanou will be responsible for generating income and relationships for OHA’s Smiles Across America® (SAA) and Medical Dental Dialogues programs and will serve as a senior level contact for SAA sites. Dr. Stefanou is a 1987 graduate of Tufts University School of Dental Medicine, and retired from clinical practice at the end of 2005. He has since devoted his efforts to the “business” side of dentistry in sales, marketing, education, and consulting. Dr. Stefanou has presented CE seminars, webinars, and small group workshops to over 12,000 dental professionals and salespeople on various topics including marketing, home care, breath control, periodontal risk assessment, practice transitions, and how to sell to dentists. Dr. Stefanou lives and works in New York City.
Amanda Ciatti, Manager, Program Research & Development
Amanda Ciatti will be responsible for developing new programs and securing funding for OHA through proposals and grants to Foundations, as well as through Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) initiatives and sponsorships. Ms. Ciatti brings to a range of experiences from the social service, educational and healthcare fields. She was Director of Development for the DuPage Community Clinic, a free medical and dental clinic for the uninsured in DuPage County, IL. Prior to that, she was a social worker with families from underserved communities, and developed programs with collaborative public/private partners to meet their educational, psychosocial and health needs. Ms. Ciatti will be working in OHA’s home office in Chicago.
Sheila Cotter, Database Associate, is a 10-year Raiser's Edge non-profit fundraising database expert, having played a leading role in a database conversion process in her previous position as the Executive Assistant for the Dean of the Academy for Life and Learning at Chicago's Fourth Presbyterian Church.
Jennifer Gilbert, Communications Associate, comes to OHA as a former associate editor of Chicago Parent, and editor of Chicago Baby. She is a graduate of Northwestern University's Medill School of Journalism. Jennifer will be contributing her writing and research skills to OHA's growing communications team.
