AzDA Announces 2010 Convention
It’s Wild Out West!
Scottsdale AZ, December 4, 2009: The Arizona Dental Association (AzDA) is pleased to invite licensed dentists and their teams, from Arizona and around the country, to experience “It’s Wild Out West,” the 2010 Western Regional Dental Convention, March 4-6 at Phoenix Convention Center in Phoenix, Arizona.
According to Donald C. Simpson, DDS, AzDA President: “The very foundation of our annual session is education and for 2010 we have raised the standards to new levels of excellence.” Several courses will focus on a new dental paradigm, Biomimetic Dentistry. Explains Dr. Simpson: “As clinicians and as a profession, we must be proactive and investigate the changes about to take place, and in some cases already taking place. A group of very dedicated scientists is coming to Phoenix to show us what the future holds and I encourage everyone to take advantage of this unique occasion.”
Educational programming will comprise lectures and workshops for general dentists and specialists, dental hygienists, dental assistants, dental laboratory professionals, and dental business staff. Programs specifically addressing current economic times will be featured. Back by popular demand will be Carolyn Holman, RDH (Maricopa County Office of Oral Health) and Derrick Hall (President and CEO of the Arizona Diamondbacks) to present “Ticked Off by Tobacco.” The Madow Group, two dentists who present strategies for success in the dental business (and whose “Bohemian Dental Rhapsody” has been given 5 Stars on YouTube) will present the keynote address and a full day seminar on “How to Love Dentistry, Have Fun, and Increase Profits.” Additional seminars will feature digital photography, technological applications, communication topics, roundtable discussions, health and nutrition, improving memory power, and much more.
A professional trade show will be open all 3 days of the convention, with more than 350 exhibit booths displaying the latest technological advances, products, and services available to dentists, specialists, and the dental team. Popular events such as the Free Wine & Cheese Reception and Free Ice Cream Social will treat convention-goers to a much-needed respite after a full day of learning. AzDA Services, AzDA’s wholly-owned subsidiary, will host a reception for AzDA’s newest members, the Dental Team Appreciation Luncheon will feature entertainment by Tony Lucero, the “Mojo Master,” and the Arizona Dental Foundation, AzDA’s charitable arm whose mission is “keeping Arizona smiling by connecting and mobilizing people and resources to provide education and statewide charitable dentistry to children, elderly, and special needs populations,” will celebrate its 25th anniversary with a Western Barbeque at Lath House at Heritage Square in Downtown Phoenix.
Those who attend the Western Regional Dental Convention are invited to stay a few days to experience the glorious weather and beautiful landscape of the “Valley of the Sun.” There’s nothing like Phoenix in March!
