Orofacial Pain Experts Join Endodontic Specialists at 2009 Fall Conference

American Association of Endodontists hosts October 29 – 31 event

CHICAGO (September 10, 2009) – As part of an ongoing effort to offer quality continuing education year round, the American Association of Endodontists will hold this year’s annual Fall Conference on the topic of orofacial pain in Cancun, Mexico.

From October 29 – 31, 2009, more than 300 dental professionals will take part in a meeting at the JW Marriott Cancun Resort & Spa under the theme Differential Diagnosis of Orofacial Pain. The conference will feature leading clinicians and researchers in the endodontic specialty and the field of orofacial pain, including Drs. Michael J. Apicella, Kenneth M. Hargreaves, Donna J. Mattscheck, Charles McNeill, Jeffrey P. Okeson, Paul A. Rosenberg and John Wright.

The speakers will cover the mechanics of orofacial pain, discuss its potential causes and cite the most current research on a variety of ways to diagnose and manage these cases, which present frequent challenges.

“This is a great opportunity for endodontists to benefit from the insights of another field, as well as enjoy the expertise of their peers in the specialty,” said Dr. Gerald N. Glickman, AAE president. “At the end of the program, endodontists should feel far more confident in handling patient cases involving orofacial pain.”

The Fall Conference is also designed to offer attendees with many opportunities for recreation, networking and enjoying the resort atmosphere. The educational program is limited to morning sessions, leaving afternoons and evenings available to explore the resort, enjoy guided tours and engage in a variety of Association-sponsored recreational activities including an AAE golf tournament.

Details about the event, including information on speakers and optional activities, can be found on the AAE Web site at www.aae.org/fallconference. Online registration is open through October 22; registration forms can also be printed and faxed to AAE Headquarters at 866/451-9020 (North America) or 312/266-9867 (International), or submitted via postal mail through September 23.
