Griptab – Reliable Grip, Total Control
At last, an effective way to hold and place crowns, veneers, inlays and onlays!
Triodent is proud to introduce the Griptab, which will change the way we do indirect restorations.
Placing crowns, veneers, inlays and onlays can be a nightmare but not now thanks to the Griptab created by Triodent, makers of the V3 Sectional Matrix System.
The Griptab is effectively a small handle that is adhered to crowns, veneers, inlays and onlays. The light-cured, flexible adhesive is strong and moisture-resistant but at the same time is easily and cleanly detached from the restoration at the end of the procedure.
By having a handle on the restoration, the dentist has a reliable grip – no more worries about handling an object that can be as greasy as a lemon pip – giving him or her total control over the process.
Griptab brings the following benefits to restoration work:
- An adhesive resistant to Silane and moisture
- Easy pick-up
- Secure grip
- Accurate placement
- Passive and controlled release
- The ability to pick up and put down a restoration multiple times
- Peace of mind when handling restorations
Dr George Freedman, founder and past president of the American Academy of Cosmetic Dentistry and a founder of the Canadian Academy for Esthetic Dentistry, was one of the first dentists to try the Griptab. His first impression was unequivocal: “It worked like a charm,” he said.
Triodent CEO Dr Simon McDonald says Griptab is a no-brainer not just for dentists but also for dental assistants and lab technicians.
“The sheer awkwardness of handling restorations can be frustrating and there is always the risk of dropping them, which is why we came up with Griptab, a simple solution to the problem,” Dr McDonald says. “We’ve used Griptab many times already and it works brilliantly. We’re very excited about it.”
Griptab comes in three sizes to handle any type of bonded or cement restoration:
- Small - for inlays and veneers
- Medium - for inlays, onlays, veneers and crowns
- Large - for crowns
