PHILANTHROPIC SALES REP WINS TRIP TO HAWAII

DENVER, CO, JUNE 8, 2009: Field Sales Consultant, Terrence Powers, of Henry Schein Dental in California won the Dental Trade Alliance Foundation’s fourth annual DentaCheques drawing.

Sales representatives from Benco, Henry Schein Dental, Patterson Dental, Iowa Dental Supply, and Burkhart Dental chose to sell the DentaCheques 2009 value book to their customers on behalf of the National Foundation of Dentistry for the Handicapped (NFDH). Each book sold grants the sales rep one entry into the drawing for a trip for two to Hawaii.

Sales of DentaCheques generate the single largest source of discretionary revenue for NFDH which has helped over 90,000 vulnerable individuals receive $150 million in comprehensive therapies. The flagship program leveraging this care is Donated Dental Services (DDS) which counts 14,000 private-practice dentists and 2,900 dental laboratories among its corps of volunteers. DDS has funded and staffed programs in 39 states with “safety net” operations covering the remaining 11 states and the District of Columbia.

DentaCheques revenues are used to expand and enhance the DDS program. Thanks to the support of thousands of sales representatives from the above-named companies, DentaCheques 2009 sales have exceeded $1,550,000 with more than 10,000 copies in circulation.

In conjunction with the Dental Trade Alliance, the DTAF sponsors a yearly prize drawing for sales reps and assists the NFDH in the compilation and promotion of the DentaCheques book.

DentaCheques and Donated Dental Services are operated by the NFDH, a Denver, Co based, charitable affiliate of the American Dental Association which is committed, through collaboration, to arranging comprehensive dental treatment and long-term preventive services to needy disabled, elderly or medically compromised individuals through a national network of direct service programs.
