Sirona Dental Systems’ 2009 House of Blues Bash:
Chicago Midwinter Meeting’s Most Vibrant Event to Date

Dental Professionals Turn Blue for Sirona’s Official
CEREC AC Powered by Bluecam Launch

Long Island City, NY (March 30, 2009) – Sirona Dental Systems, Inc., the company that pioneered digital dentistry more than 20 years ago and the world’s leading producer of dental CAD/CAM systems, celebrated the commencement of its new CEREC® AC (Acquisition Center) powered by Bluecam with an official “Blue” Launch Party at this year’s Chicago Midwinter Dental Meeting.

With a jam-packed crowd of over two thousand attendees, Sirona’s Blue-themed party at Chicago’s famous House of Blues was once again the hottest ticket in town at the annual Chicago Midwinter Dental Meeting.  Sirona hosted the top-notch gala complete with dancing, food, drinks, an exclusive VIP area, and funky live music of the 70s and 80s, courtesy of the band Boogie Knights.

The Blue-themed party was tailored around Sirona’s ingenious incorporation of the Bluecam handheld acquisition camera that supports the new CEREC AC.  Sirona’s Bluecam uses a highly visible blue light LED that captures superior digital impressions accurately, easily, and extremely fast, as compared to other digital impression technologies on the market.   CEREC AC powered by Bluecam is considered a significant technological advancement in chairside CAD/CAM systems.

Doors officially opened at 8:00pm.  The House of Blues’ immense span of rooms and balconies quickly filled to capacity with dental professionals, manufacturers, and Sirona employees mingling in support of “the new blue.”  The House of Blues name took on new significance with unique forms of “blue support” showcased throughout the venue.  Dressed in vibrant shades of blue from their hair down to their blue-suede shoes, guests were adorned with blue pant suits, dresses, shiny blue wigs, and painted blue faces.

“The House of Blues was the perfect setting for our Official Launch Party of the CEREC AC,” remarked Roddy MacLeod, Senior Director CAD/CAM Systems for Sirona Dental Systems.  “The party was a great networking event for our colleagues, clients, associates, and other professionals who hold the same interests.  It has become tradition for Sirona to end the Midwinter Meeting by hosting a celebration for all who support our profession.”

All CEREC doctors and inLab® laboratories received exclusive invitations to the gala by mail, while all attendees of the Chicago Midwinter Meeting were encouraged to stop by Sirona’s booth to pick up tickets.  Admission was free for all and quickly sold out.
