The Safety Saliva Ejector

A simple and cost effective way to eliminate potential inter-patient cross-contamination.
Posted: November 21, 2003
Cross contamination between patients is possible when patients close their lips around a saliva ejector and form a seal. Fluid left in the suction line can then be drawn back into a patient’s mouth. With the Crosstex Safety Saliva Ejector, venting channels are incorporated along the full length of the tip so that it is impossible for patients to form a seal around the saliva ejector when they close their mouths causing reverse flow. An additional benefit is that the tip also prevents the suction of soft tissue, which can result in hematomas. The Safety Saliva Ejector is the only saliva ejector that is designed to prevent backflow from occurring and one of the few products designed specifically to address this problem.

Crosstex is celebrating its 50th year of providing the healthcare industry with innovative, high-quality infection control/single-use disposable products. For more information, or to request a sample, call 888-Crosstex.
