New High Strength Restoration Material Available for the E4D Dentist System

Dallas, TX – (September 8, 2008) – D4D Technologies announced today that Ivoclar Vivadent’s high strength IPS e.max CAD LT is now available for restorations fabricated with their E4D Dentist system.

The IPS e.max CAD LT material is nearly three times the strength of other millable ceramics for chairside restorative systems such as the E4D Dentist and is available in 13 shades and two block sizes (C14 and I12).

"With IPS e.max CAD LT, all E4D dentists can be more confident in placing Same Day™ all-ceramic restorations in clinical cases where they tended to prescribe indirectly-fabricated PFM (porcelain fused to metal) restorations and e.max CAD LT an ideal restorative material for implant cases" said Dr. Gary Severance, VP of Clinical Affairs for D4D Technologies. "Also the fact that an e.max CAD restoration can be placed using either the adhesive technique or conventional cementation protocol, depending on preparation design, makes this type of restoration more versatile than many others."

IPS e.max CAD LT is a lithium disilicate formulation that is provided in a semi-crystallized for more efficient milling, intraoral try-in and adjustment and then is fully crystallized in a ceramic oven prior to final placement.

e.max CAD LT blocks and accessories are available through Henry Schein Dental for the E4D Dentist System.

About D4D Technologies LLC
D4D Technologies is taking the dental profession to a higher level of productivity, patient comfort, and convenience with its E4D Dentist system for dental offices and laboratories. The system uses high-speed laser scanning technology to produce digital 3D impressions of teeth prepared for full contour crowns, inlays, onlays, or veneers without contrast agents. The intuitive DentaLogic™ software enables operators to customize restoration designs and send them wirelessly to the heavy-duty mill that uses the latest materials to produce fine esthetic restorations.

Highly accurate, versatile, and easy to use, the E4D system provides significant productivity improvements over the traditional approach to creating dental restorations: for dental offices, quick one-visit restorations mean greater numbers of satisfied patients, while laboratories can significantly reduce manual labor.

Headquartered in Richardson, TX, the company has agreements with three major corporations in the dental industry: Henry Schein handles sales and distribution; 3M and Ivoclar Vivadent supply restorative materials.
