AAID Annual Meeting Will Focus on Evidence-Based Implant Dentistry
Some 1500 Implant Dentists and Staff Expected in Las Vegas, Nov. 7-11

CHICAGO, Aug. 3, 2007 - The 56th Annual meeting of the American Academy of Implant Dentistry will be held Nov. 7-11 at the Rio Suites Hotel in Las Vegas. The theme this year is "Excellence through Evidence-based Implant Dentistry."

Among the presenters are dozens of noted implant practitioners, researchers and educators, such as Maurice A. Salama, DMD, Gordon J. Christensen, DDS, MSD, PhD and Michael, Pikos, DDS. AAID meeting attendees can earn up to 24 hours of continuing education credit.

The always well-received New Tools, Techniques and Technology session will be conducted on Wed., Nov. 7. On Nov. 8, the Main Podium Programs will include: Treatment Planning 2008: Options and Solutions for Complex Esthetic Challenges, Are There Really Gold Standards in Implant Dentistry? Applying Valid Scientific Evidence in Clinical Practice; and Successful Diagnosis: Predictability of Diagnostic Aids in Implant Dentistry. Among the sessions on Nov. 9 are: When to Extract or Save a Tooth in the Esthetic Zone; New Advances in Tissue Management and Esthetic Implant Treatment; and Dental Implants and Medically Complex Patients. The Nov. 10 main podium presentations include: Restorative Excellence: Do Implant Supported Restorations Compare with Restorations on Natural Teeth?; and Implant Design and Esthetic Predictions - Long-term Clinical Results.

In addition, there will be 15 Limited Attendance Workshops at the meeting for a more intimate educational experience. There also is an outstanding program for allied dental staff to learn new techniques and refresh skills.
