Dr. Dan Nathanson to deliver Web cast on “New Considerations Of Restoring Endontically Treated Teeth”

Dr. Dan Nathanson, Chairman of the Department of Restorative Sciences and Biomaterials at Boston University School of Dental Medicine, will deliver a web cast on Sunday, November 23 at 11 a.m. on www.ao.org. Cost of the web cast is $75 and participants will receive continuing education credit. The web cast is sponsored by Alpha Omega Fraternity and Corporate sponsor Captek- Precious Chemicals USA Inc. Dr. Nathanson will review philosophy and modern techniques for restoring pulpless teeth.

The review will include: restorative options for endodontically treated teeth, updates on the indications for using posts and cores, and revisiting post design. It also will include a review of new esthetic posts and changing philosophies on preferred post properties.

After graduating from the Hebrew University (Jerusalem) Dental School, Dr. Nathanson received postdoctoral training in the U.S. and holds certificates in restorative dentistry and dental materials from Harvard University and in prosthodontics from Boston University. Nathanson holds Fellowships in the American College of Dentists, the Academy of Prosthodontics and the Academy of Dental Materials. He also is a member of the American Dental Association, American College of Prosthodontists, International Association for Dental Research and American Academy of Esthetic Dentistry. Nathanson has published extensively and lectures internationally about his primary interest in restorative and prosthetic material.
