CM_Flow-2300.jpgThe world’s leading manufacturer of dental products has given dentists a new and innovative technique for restoring a bright white sparkle to even the most tarnished set of teeth. Kuraray America, Inc., a subsidiary of the pioneering Kuraray Group, has announced the CLEARFIL MAJESTY SERIES, its latest technological breakthrough in restorative dentistry.

The Clearfil Majesty Series is a comprehensive, curative system of resins designed for the specific purpose of restoring a natural radiance and whitening to teeth. Featuring three different composites, the Clearfil Majesty Series combines each of these elements to affect a revolutionary method of matching color and shading.

Clearfil Majesty Esthetic is a universal composite that provides a dramatic blending of colors without obvious transitional shading from one tooth to the next. Howard S. Glazer, DDS, describes Majesty Esthetic as having “chameleon-like” properties.

Clearfil Majesty Flowable resin possesses significant compressive and tensile strength. It uses a proprietary syringe design, which allows for bubble-free applications, and features such a low percentage of polymer shrinkage that it can even be used as a stand-alone product for final restorations.

Clearfil Majesty Posterior is a newly developed nano-hybrid, with the physical characteristics of most indirect composite restorative materials. This product, an ideal filling material, will polish easily and retain a glossy finish for protracted periods of time.

All three composites provide sturdy, effective and aesthetic restorations. Combined, Clearfil Majesty offers 18 possible shades of color, including opaque, translucent, enamel and body gradations.

The Clearfil Majesty series, while newly introduced to the marketplace, actually represents more than three decades of accomplishment in the dental industry. Kuraray began experimenting with materials specific to the field of dentistry in 1973, and within five short years they released the world’s first dentin bonding agent, CLEARFIL Bond System F, signaling the birth of adhesive dentistry. Since that time, Kuraray Medical Inc. has grown this product base exponentially, and can now boast that one of its derivatives, Clearfil SE Bond, is the leading bonding agent in the industry and commands 60% of the category’s market share.

Since its inception in 1926, the Kuraray Group of companies has remained pioneers in the fields of polymer and synthetic chemistry engineering. Today, they are the premiere manufacturer of high-performance resins and synthetic fibers. Personal computers, food packaging, contact lenses, and even artificial kidneys are only a small sampling of the thousands of products that benefit from Kuraray’s technological advances.

Through exhaustive development of breakthrough technologies, and their resulting products, Kuraray has consistently proven its ability to turn leading-edge research into real world solutions.
