IMTEC Implant Seminar

Oklahoma Company Announces Advanced Mini Dental Implant Seminar
Posted: June 26, 2003
IMTEC Corporation, the developer and manufacturer of the only mini dental implant with FDA approval to market for long-term dental applications, has announced its first advanced seminar for clinicians. The company has been conducting seminars and training programs for the past three years that are designed to train general dentists and denture specialists in the placement of mini-dental implants. Thousands of dentists in the United States are currently using the MDI minimally invasive dental implant system in their practices.

The company is proud to announce their first annual course on advanced applications of the Sendax MDI mini-dental implant line. The symposium will be held on August 15th and 16th at the Crescent Court Hotel in Dallas, Texas. Experienced dentists and surgeons who have placed the MDI in their practices will learn additional applications and features of the MDI implant system, and also how to manage the occasional complex case.

“We have found dentists across the country to be very creative in their use of the MDI,” said Dr. Ronald A. Bulard, Chairman of the Board of IMTEC. “Doctors are finding new applications every day for this unique system from salvaging failing conventional cases to crown and bridge applications; the possibilities are endless. Additionally, IMTEC frequently receives requests from doctors who utilize the system in their daily practices and who want to take mini-dental implants to the next level. The implant system is the perfect choice for many because it is minimally invasive and is quite economical for the dentist and the patient alike.”

The industry-sponsored seminar, to be moderated by Dr. Charles E. English of Little Rock, Arkansas, a board-certified prosthodontist, is designed to train dentists in advanced techniques of the IMTEC MDI system and also how to address complex patient presentments.

Moderators for the symposium in addition to Dr. English include Victor I. Sendax, DDS, New York City, the developer of the MDI technique; Dr. Todd Shatkin, Amherst, New York, Dr. Burton Balkin, Philadelphia; Dr. Raymond Choi, Los Angeles, Dr. William Rea, Mt. Dora, Florida, Dr. George Bohle, Lutherville Timonium, Maryland, Dr. Ian Erwood, Toronto, Canada, Dr. Ernesto León, Cuernavaca, Mexico, and Dr. James Hazbun, Guatemala City, Guatemala. “All of these doctors have extensive experience in placing mini-dental implants,” Dr. Bulard explained. “In addition, all of them are certified to teach other doctors across the country in how to place our implants. Doctors who attend this seminar will be exposed to some of the most skilled doctors in the dental profession.”

Bulard went on to explain that in addition to the Advanced MDI seminar, IMTEC will utilize the time for a meeting of its international distributors from around the world. Authorized company distributors planning to attend the Dallas program include business owners from Mexico, Central America, South America, Europe, the Middle East, Asia and the Pacific Rim. “We now have 37 authorized distributors selling IMTEC products around the world,” Dr. Bulard stated. “This meeting will give our company’s employees a great opportunity to interact with these businessmen, offer training, and also to introduce new dental products that IMTEC will launch later this summer.
