With strong results at their trial hospitals, Careflix today launched its service to other healthcare facilities, including dialysis clinics, cancer centers, surgery centers, nursing homes, behavioral health centers, dentists, and speech therapists.
Careflix will have a slightly different application at each type of facility:
· At dialysis clinics, patients will be able to watch new release movies and diet and
exercise information during the 9+ hours a week they spend undergoing
treatment.
· Careflix will be supplying inspiration movies and other materials to help chemotherapy patients at an extremely difficult time in their lives.
· The long term care segment will be offered a Careflix package that will allow visitors to sit and watch a “Golden Oldie” movie with their loved one, reducing the times when there’s little to say during a visit.
· Careflix is already used in surgery center waiting rooms, where waiting times can reach 5 hours.
· At other facilities, such as dentists, physicians’ offices or speech therapy waiting rooms, the personal entertainment and education programming will be offered as a way to put people’s minds at rest or keep young children occupied while waiting.
