Institute for Advanced Laser Dentistry Receives Recognition from the American Dental Association
The Institute for Advanced Laser Dentistry, Inc. (IALD) announced today
that its laser training program for dentists, called Laser BootCamp®, has been renewed by the American Dental Association’s prestigious Continuing Education Recognition Program, otherwise known as ADA-CERP. IALD’s renewal extends through June of 2007.
According to the
ADA
, “The American Dental Association's Continuing Education Recognition Program (ADA CERP) has been in operation since 1993. The ADA CERP evaluates and approves institutions and organizations that provide continuing education (CE). Recognizing the need to offer its members and the dental community a way to select continuing education with confidence, the
ADA
started the ADA CERP in conjunction with a group of organizations representing the dental profession. The ADA CERP is managed by a standing committee of the Council on Dental Education and Licensure that includes representatives of the American Dental Association, the American Association of Dental Examiners, the American Association of Dental Schools, the Canadian Dental Association and the organizations representing the recognized dental specialties.
The ADA CERP evaluates providers in 15 aspects of program quality. Only CE providers that can meet the ADA CERP's standards and procedures are granted ADA CERP approval and are authorized to use the ADA CERP logo and/or approval statement on their publications. Once approved, CE providers are held accountable for maintaining those same high standards. The ADA CERP does not approve the specific courses or the credit hours that recognized providers offer.”
