Nu Radiance, Inc. has introduced Nu Tempcement NE, a new eugenol-free temporary crown and bridge cement. Nu Tempcement NE features a unique two-stage curing mechanism. In the first stage, the material achieves a consistency sufficient to hold the restoration in place, while allowing 60-80 seconds for easy removal of the excess. Good biocompatibility of the cement minimizes post-operative discomfort.
Nu Tempcement NE features good working time with low film thickness (below 20µ) for easy handling. Its well-balanced adhesive properties provide good prosthesis retention while allowing for trouble-free removal. The cement is x-ray opaque and is compatible with all commercially available permanent cements. Excellent resistance to the oral environment and mechanical strength assure good long-term performance, when desired. The cement has negligible solubility and low irritation potential.
