Rarely, do we have an opportunity to make a difference in the lives of so many. Hurricane Katrina has caused many thousands of people to evacuate their homes, and thousands more are feared dead in Katrina's devastating aftermath. Our southern American neighbors need our assistance in these disaster-stricken areas.
Ultradent has completed or started the following Katrina relief efforts:
· Donated 5,000 toothbrushes and toothpastes toe the Houston Astrodome.
· Contributed tooth whitening kits to dentists to assist in donation programs for Katrina relief.
Some of the ways we all can contribute going forward are:
· Monetary Donations - I would invite you to join with us in helping our fellow Americans in the long and difficult process of rebuilding their lives. Ultradent will match any monetary donation, dollar for dollar up to $200,000 combined total. This money will go to the Red Cross organization for distribution. · Assisting Fellow Dentistry - Ultradent also wishes to assist those dentists directly affected by the hurricane in getting them get back on their feet. If your dental practice has been directly impacted by this tragedy, please call us at 1-800-552-5512 and press #1.
· Whitening Campaign - Another way you can contribute is to donate your time. Ultradent is teaming up with our friends at genR8TNext in a campaign for additional fundraising. We are donating product support for their upcoming whitening campaign with proceeds to the Relief fund. Dr. John Sullivan will be coordinating the campaign and it will be introduced within the next couple weeks. The campaign is expected to run from the end of September through the end of the year.
