2006 Greater Orlando Business Ethics Award Winners Announced

The 2006 Greater Orlando Business Ethics Award (GOBEA) winners are Michael A. Zerivitz, DDS, P.A. and SCORE, represented by Skip Honigstein.  Chosen from over 22 entries, these companies demonstrated a consistent dedication to excellent business ethics. The winners were picked by a panel of judges from the University of Central Florida School of Business, headed by Dr. William Callerman. The Award is presented annually by the Central Florida Society of Financial Service Professionals. In addition, a Special Individual Award was given to David Erikstrup
 
The Award recognizes companies that exemplify high standards of ethical behavior in their everyday business conduct and in response to specific crises or challenges.
 
Michael Zerivitz,DDS received the 2006 GOBEA in the Small Business Category and Skip Honigstein accepted the award as President of SCORE (Service Corps of Retired Executives) in the Non-profit Agency category. 
 
 
Last year’s winner, Brett Kingston (President of Supervision) presented the award to Dr. Zerivitz.
 
Bob Opsahl, local television anchor, was the master of Ceremonies at the black-tie event held at the Portofino Bay Hotel at Universal Studios.
 
As the winner of the Small Business Award, Dr. Zerivitz next enters the national Competition for the American Business Ethics Award.  This competition, started with a $1Million Dollar grant from Forbes Magazine, began in 1994.
Previous national winners have included Hewlett-Packard, EDS, Lockheed-Martin, Starbucks, and Merck.
