AAE Annual Session

AAE Annual Session “Raises the Bar” for Endodontic Treatment
Posted: March 12, 2006
More than 3,000 endodontic professionals to attend Annual Session in Honolulu

More than 125 hours of continuing education credit in seven distinct programming tracks will be available for endodontic professionals at the American Association of Endodontists (AAE) Annual Session in Honolulu, Hawaii, March 29 – April 1, 2006. The session’s programming has been abbreviated to accommodate an island schedule, with many sessions ending by 2 p.m. each day.

The tracks address digital imaging, endodontic differential diagnosis, implantology, nonsurgical root canal treatment, practice management, auxiliary topics and submitted presentations, and will facilitate the needs of attendees who wish to concentrate on one subject, as well as those who prefer to “pick and choose” educational material from various areas.

“All the new technologies, trends in the marketplace and educational advances can be hard to monitor while maintaining an active endodontic practice,” said AAE President Marc Balson, D.D.S. “That’s why the AAE is fostering a proactive spirit for the specialty with enriched educational offerings and world-class events.”

Each year, the Annual Session is preceded by an all-day course focused on a topic selected by the AAE Continuing Education Committee. The Pre-Session Symposium, “Applying Research Outcomes of New Technologies to Your Practice” will feature presentations by Drs. James L. Guttman, Paul R. Krasner, Louis M. Lin, Ove A. Peters, Henry J. Rankow, Kamran Safavi, James M. Tinnin and Martin Trope. This panel of experts will lead attendees through the information and processes needed to successfully apply research outcomes of new technologies to an endodontic practice. Presentations will focus on instrumentation and canal disinfection, guided tissue regeneration, a panel discussion regarding obturation and sealers and one-appointment endodontics.

This year’s Annual Session is made possible by our generous sponsors Dentsply Tulsa Dental, Dentsply International, Nobel BioCare, Treloar and Heisel, Inc./GE Medical Protective and Elsevier.
