Since 2003, Smile Kentucky! has partnered with area businesses to provide educational programs, free dental screenings and treatment to children across northern and central Kentucky. To date, the program has provided free treatment to over 800 children and has reached over 44,000 with educational programs. This community partnership was created to address one of the most common childhood diseases, tooth decay.
This year, as part of the cooperative effort, Whip Mix provided coloring books that promote brushing and dental care, as well as volunteers including Anne Steinbock, Robert Ward, Bryan Murphy and Frank Manfre. Whip Mix is proud to be affiliated with such a dedicated team that includes over 75 licensed dentists and hygienists, the Transit Authority of River City, Colgate, Louisville Water Company, Louisville Dental Society, U of L Dental School, Louisville Science Center and Sullivan-Schein Dental.
Founded in 1919, Whip Mix manufactures articulators, gypsums, investments, waxes, furnaces, ovens, mixing equipment and model trimmers for use in dental labs and dental offices. The company is ISO9001-2000 certified and sells its products through distributors in over 22 countries. Whip Mix maintains its headquarters in Louisville, Kentucky with an office and distribution center in Dortmund, Germany.
