Expanding learning center forming new corporation

Today Dr. Peter E. Dawson announced the formation of a new corporation designed to energize and expand the teaching center that bears his name. Principals in the new company include Dr. Dawson, founder of the Dawson Center for Advanced Dental Study and the preeminent dental educator in North American for the last 25 years… Joan S. Forrest, management and communications lecturer and Director of the Dawson Center for Advanced Dental Study for the last 10 years… and Michael F. Brennan, President of Brennan and Associates, a business development company and former Vice President of Marketing for Ivoclar Vivadent, Inc.

Principal instructors for the new company will be DeWitt C. Wilkerson, D.M.D. and Glenn E. DuPont, D.D.S., both of St. Petersburg, John C. Cranham, D.D.S. of Chesapeake, Virginia, Michael R. Sesemann, D.D.S. of Omaha, Nebraska and Elizabeth “Betsy” Bakeman, D.D.S., of Grand Rapids, Michigan.

Guest instructors include Henry A. Gremillion, D.D.S, Director of the Parker E. Mahan Facial Pain Center at the University of Florida, James R. McKee, D.D.S., of Downers Grove, IL, and C. Jeff Scott, D.D.S., and Ronald C. Kobernick, D.D.S., M.Sc.D, both of St. Petersburg.

“This is a very exciting group”, said Dr. Dawson. “Together we are going to combine a thorough understanding of occlusion and the function of the masticatory system, with the best parts of the much touted “revolution” in materials and esthetics, to offer our dental colleagues a proven path to clinical excellence and personal satisfaction.

2005 courses will include enhanced versions of the Center’s popular Seminars One, Two and Three. In addition, smaller application and hands-on courses will be taught in St. Petersburg and other affiliated centers around the country.
