CHICAGO (June 28, 2004) – As small business owners, general dentists must search for the latest tools and tricks which can help them have a more successful dental practice. Whether searching for new practice management software, new technology or just curious about the latest tools for dental care, dentists who have a busy schedule may find it hard to find the time to learn about the various choices. The Academy of General Dentistry's (AGD) Annual Meeting offers dentists a one-stop shopping experience, with more than 235 companies operating close to 300 booths. These booths will offer attendees a peek at everything from practice tools to dental care equipment. Below is just a sampling of dental health exhibits and products that general dentists will learn about when they meet in Anaheim, July 7- 11, 2004, for the AGD's 52nd Annual Meeting.
Practice Products -- First time exhibitor PreViser Corporation will display their PreViser Oral Health Information Suite™. This new technology makes it possible for the dentist to calculate an individual's risk for tooth decay, gum disease as well as accurately diagnose periodontal disease. The software requires only the information from a standard dental exam, takes moments to use, factors in the patient's medical history and other data, and then prepares for the clinician and patient an easy to understand print-out of the individual’s oral health condition and what will happen if preventative or reparative measures are not undertaken.
Dentists who are eager to reinforce their patient relationships with a patient newsletter can visit Dental Health News. This customized patient newsletter is written, printed and can even be mailed directly to patients by Market Connections. During the AGD Annual Meeting, Dental Health News will have a photo booth on hand where dentists can have their pictures taken for free, to receive 50 no cost, no obligation copies of Dental Health News, fully customized with their photo and office information.
Oral Health Products -- Best-Bite will demonstrate the Discluder live on headache suffers at their booth. The FDA accepted device centers the jaw joints and relaxes the muscles relieving headaches due to bite problems, typically in less than two minutes. This will assist in the diagnosis and facilitate treatment for the estimated 40 million people who have headaches due to bite problems.
Professional Results, Inc. will be exhibiting their line of products including the Tooth Slooth fracture detector. This simple product helps locate cracked teeth that normally cannot be detected clinically or radiographically. The device helps eliminate unpredictable and inaccurate testing objects such as orangewood sticks, cotton rolls or rubber wheels.
Accepting Exhibitors for 2005
The AGD will begin accepting 2005 exhibitor contracts on-site in Anaheim. Companies can receive $100 off the price of their 2005 booth by turning in the contract before the end of the Anaheim meeting. This deal is only available on-site during the Annual Meeting.
