Dentrix Dental Systems, Inc., in partnership with National Information Services (NIS), today announced the availability of eClaims Attachments, a new service that gives DENTRIX users the ability to send electronic attachments along with their eClaims from within the DENTRIX clinical and practice management system. With eClaims Attachments, doctors can attach any patient’s image from the DENTRIX database to an electronic claim. This service eliminates the need for double entry of data, and streamlines insurance submission and processing. The end result is increased efficiency and quicker payment on claims for the practice, reduced uncertainty for patients, and easy access to all applicable information for insurance payors.
When an insurance claim is created electronically, the dentist can choose to attach any applicable image. Doctors eliminate delays in payment by providing all pertinent information from the start, not as it’s requested by the payor.
“We are so excited about this technology,” said Kay Barton, manager of eServices. “When you consider the amount of duplicate films, perio charts, and narratives an office makes, combined with the time it takes for insurance companies to request an attachment—using electronic attachments from within DENTRIX will save a practice thousands of dollars every year.”
The ability to send attachments is only available to dental practices using DENTRIX 9.0 or later. Customers on previous versions of DENTRIX can call 1-800-DENTRIX for upgrade information. Questions regarding eClaims for DENTRIX can be directed to an eClaims Specialist at 1-800-734-5561, Option 3.
