The American Dental Association (ADA) announces the introduction of the ADA Standards E-Catalog that is conveniently available online for dental professionals 24 hours a day, seven days a week.

The electronic catalog contains all of the ANSI/ADA Specifications and ADA Technical Reports for Dental Products and Informatics, along with all ISO (International Organization for Standardization) dental standards online at www.adacatalog.org.

It features standards written by the dental profession for the dental profession, the Standards E-catalog illustrates the ADA ’s leadership in standards for safe and effective oral healthcare. All standards may be securely purchased and electronically downloaded for instant access or may be securely purchased in hard copy format.

ANSI/ADA specifications developed by the ADA Standards Committee on Dental Products (SCDP) are approved as American National Standards by ANSI (American National Standards Institute). ISO dental standards are world-wide standards developed by the International Organization for Standardization (ISO) Technical Committee 106 for Dentistry.

Both of these committees address eight areas of dentistry; restorative materials and orthodontics, prosthodontic materials, terminology, instruments, equipment, dental implants, oral hygiene products, and infection control products.

Technical reports developed by the ADA Standards Committee on Dental Informatics (SCDI) address such topics as dental practice systems, clinical peripheral devices and software, electronic data interchange (EDI), interoperability, computer-based patient record interfaces and security of systems and data.

Visit www.adacatalog.org  to familiarize yourself with all of the ANSI/ADA Specifications, ADA Technical Reports and ISO Standards now available.
