The Denver-Based National Foundation of Dentistry for the Handicapped (NFDH) www.NFDH.org has hired Nicole Brewster for the newly created position of Director of Marketing and Communications.

Brewster comes to the foundation with a master’s degree in nonprofit management from Regis University and a wide variety of marketing and public relations experience in the nonprofit sector.

Before joining the foundation staff, Brewster worked in volunteer recruitment and special event development with Denver Kids, Inc., an affiliate program of Denver Public Schools serving at risk youth and as an account executive in the marketing and public relations department at the University of Colorado Hospital.

The NFDH is a charitable affiliate of the American Dental Association (ADA) with the purpose of improving the oral health of disabled, aged, or medically-compromised Americans.  Over 12,000 dentists and 3,000 dental laboratories volunteer nationally and will donate over $15 million worth of services to thousands of vulnerable individuals this year.

According to NFDH Vice President Fred Leviton, the position was created “to support the many valued partners who sustain and nurture the Foundation’s work including the ADA, many esteemed dental organizations, and the dental industry.  Ms. Brewster will work with these groups in promoting the Foundation’s work and opportunities for their members to volunteer.”
