PLYMOUTH MEETING, Pa.—Premier Dental has introduced MultiMatch Flow Chameleon Antimicrobial Composite with BioArmor, a flowable composite that incorporates antimicrobial nanotechnology.

BioArmor uses spherical mesoporous nano-silica particles infused with octenidine dihydrochloride, a broad-spectrum antimicrobial agent. The company said the technology is engineered for controlled, long-term release of the agent to penetrate biofilm and support sustained antimicrobial activity, and to help reduce demineralization at the material surface.

The composite is FDA-cleared for direct restorations in all cavity classes, use as a base or liner, veneering of discolored anterior teeth, splinting of mobile teeth, extended pit and fissure sealing in molars and premolars, repair of composite or ceramic veneers, and retention of thermoplastic aligners. According to the company, it uses a single universal shade designed to blend with all 16 VITA classical A1–D4 shades.

“With BioArmor Technology, it goes beyond placement and aesthetics to provide active protection and support long-term oral health,” said Ann Coyne, product manager of Premier Dental.

MultiMatch Flow is available in the U.S. through authorized distributors.
