Charlotte, N.C.—Dentsply Sirona and Dreve are advancing the clinical evaluation of Primeprint Direct Aligner resin, an FDA-cleared material designed for use with the Primeprint 3D printing system.

The companies plan to begin in vitro and in vivo studies to assess how the material may integrate within Primeprint and SureSmile digital orthodontic workflows. The resin is not yet commercially available.

Preclinical evaluations conducted with the University of Ulm indicated promising recovery characteristics compared with existing thermoforming materials, according to the companies.

Future development and potential integration into the Primeprint and SureSmile ecosystems will be guided by clinical data collected through ongoing studies.

Availability may vary by country. For more information, visit dentsplysirona.com .
