Impact of Heat-Assisted Vat Photopolymerization on Dental 3D Printing Resins

Posted: January 11, 2025
The article investigates the influence of heat-assisted vat photopolymerization (HVPP) on the physical and mechanical properties of 3D-printed dental resins. HVPP at elevated temperatures (30, 40, and 50 ℃) significantly improves resin viscosity, curing kinetics, surface microhardness, flexural properties, and dimensional accuracy. Results indicate enhanced mechanical properties at higher temperatures, with 50 ℃ showing the best outcomes. However, excessive heating can lead to decreased accuracy in 3D morphometric analysis. HVPP enhances the durability of dental prostheses, emphasizing the need for optimal printing temperature management for balancing strength and accuracy.
