Imaging Sciences International Announces Extended Field of View 3-D Imaging
Posted: November 20, 2005
Imaging Sciences International, a leading provider of advanced dental and radiography products, is revolutionizing the dental industry with their i-CAT™ advanced 3-D dental imaging system which increases surgical planning and treatment accuracy. The company just unveiled the Extended Field of View option for the i-CAT™, which now captures 22 cm. of height, nearly twice the amount of information as the traditional i-CAT™ scans.
The i-CAT™ with an Extended Field of View provides far more detailed images of a patient’s mouth, face and jaw area with lower radiation and cost as compared to traditional X-rays. Now orthodontists and oral surgeons are able to create anatomically accurate and detailed 3-D images, from the neck to above the bridge of the nose, for a complete orthodontic work-up of frontal and lateral cephalometric, panoramic, supernumerary, SMV, TM joint, and airway and spinal studies, allowing dental specialists to capture the images needed for cephalometric reconstruction, orthodontic procedures and oral surgery.

For more information on the i-CAT’s™ Extended Field of View and how it is benefiting dental specialists or to speak with Imaging Sciences or one of their i-CAT™ customers about the 3-D imaging technology, please contact Alicia Buonanno at 610-642-8253 or Alicia@GregoryFCA.com.
