Riva Silver

Riva Silver-- mercury free fluoride releasing silver restorative
Posted: September 16, 2005

There are times when you need strength, yet you don’t want to use amalgam.  You want a material that chemically adheres to the tooth surface.  You want one that releases fluoride and one that is easy to handle.  Riva Silver is your answer.

Riva Silver is a mercury free fluoride releasing glass ionomer silver restorative.  It has the strength, the chemical adhesion, the fluoride release and the easy handling that you require.

Riva Silver releases high levels of fluoride, resulting in increased anticariogenic properties and improved longevity of the restoration.

Riva Silver’s condensable nature allows the operator to quickly and easily place the restoration.  Riva Silver can be packed using an amalgam condenser.

Riva Silver is the ideal restorative for deciduous teeth.  In situations where patient compliance and moisture control are difficult, Riva Silver is an extremely easy product to use.

Riva Silver’s high compressive strength minimizes the risk of fracture in the critical early stages after the restoration has been placed.  Riva Silver’s heat accelerated setting mechanism allows the material to “snap set”.

The addition of metal particles into the cement substantially increases radiopacity.  Riva Silver is easily differentiated from tooth structure enabling easy diagnoses.

Best of all, Riva Silver does not look metallic – it’s a light grey color.
