Balanced Pharma Introduces New Non-Opioid Pain Relief Option for Dental Surgery

Posted: November 6, 2024
Cornelius, North Carolina—Balanced Pharma Incorporated (BPI) has acquired Enduracaine Dental, a non-opioid injectable designed to provide up to three days of pain relief after oral surgery, addressing the $1.4 billion U.S. dental pain management market.
Enduracaine Dental combines tetracaine, lidocaine, and epinephrine. It is formulated for ease of use in standard dental cartridges with a two-year shelf life, requiring no refrigeration or reconstitution. This solution aims to reduce reliance on opioids, which are currently prescribed to 94% of patients after wisdom tooth extractions.
BPI plans to make Enduracaine Dental available to dental professionals within the next 12 months, pending FDA approval.
