In honor of Dr. Manu Dua, a dentist and well-known Townie who passed away due to oral cancer in 2021, his sister, Dr. Parul Dua Makkar has organized a symposium to be held on what would be Dua's 37th birthday.

The Dua Good Job Symposium gives oral cancer a comprehensive approach and will be held on June 27th, 2024. This live virtual event will be a convergence of expertise, experience and empathy from leading healthcare professionals. Specialists, dentists, hygienists, and assistants will learn from various experts on the clinical aspects of oral cancer and oral-systemic links and also how to practice empathy, how to better help take care of oral cancer patients, learn the psychological and mental challenges of cancer and plan for an uncertain future as well as guide how one can thrive after an oral cancer diagnosis and treatment. Attendees will also engage in insightful discussions, and gain knowledge on the latest advancements in oral cancer detection and treatment.

Recorded presentations will be available to be viewed online after the event. CE credits will be provided and those who register before June 26th will receive the book Life Interrupted, Dr Dua’s Survival Guide by the late Dr. Manu Dua.
